CornbreadWhat is a good recipe to make for my husband's potluck dinner at work?
CrockPot Sausage and Peppers

Mild Italian sausage (10 links)

Crushed tomatoes, large can (non concentrated)

3 green bell peppers

2 red bell peppers

陆 yellow onion

Minced garlic, 1 tablespoon

Black pepper, 1 teaspoon

Cut sausage links into 3鈥檚. brown in skillet. Cut peppers and onion into wedges. Add all ingredients in large mixing bowl and mix together. Place in crock-pot on low for 4-6 hours. (How long depends on your crock-pot, browning the sausage before ensures it is cooked well and gets rid of some of the grease)

There you go yum yum
string-bean casserole
How about Deviled eggs
If you can take anything I think you should take some dressing and cranberry sauce.
Cranberry chicken wings:

Have the butcher cut wings into three portions each.

Trash the tips or save them for soup.

make a sauce out of cranberries from the jar, Russian dressing [ the dark red one ] and onion soup mix.Adjust amount for amount of wings.

Put wings in a large foil baking dish, add sauce and cook at about 325-350 for an hour or so. Bring lots of napkins.

Everyone will love it.

Plz note this can be used with regular chicken pieces but the wings make a nice presentation for a party.

Have fun
If you can make a dessert I have a recipe to dye for! It is requested when I am visiting and have to bring a dish.

You will need:

1 package of German choc. cake mix

1 large tub of cool whip

1 bag of Crumbled heath bar or 6 Health bars

3 small packages of Jello cheesecake pudding mix

Prepare everything then layer in a large bowl, first some cake, then pudding, then cool whip then crumbled heath bar, you should have enough to layer twice..... It's wonderful, serve it with a spoon, good luck, email me if you have questions.
Some options are:

Meatballs

Wings (can keep both warm in crockpot)

Fried rice of some sort

Potato / Pasta / Bean Salad
If it is for a ';Thanksgiving'; dinner, make your husband's favorite dish from your normal holiday meal.

If you want to try something different -

';Dip';

2 large cans refried beans

2 pounds hamburger

1 large jar salsa (your preference)

2 pounds shredded cheddar cheese

1 pack taco seasoning

sour cream

tortilla chips

Prepare hamburger as directed on taco seasoning packet. When done, add refried beans and heat through. Then add 3/4 of the cheese and mix till melted. Put remaining cheese on top - serve with sour cream and chips.

If you need a dessert, make fudge, or get some almond bark and pretzels and dip the pretzels.
